Singapore's Drive Towards Achieving Net Carbon Neutrality

Singapore has set a goal to become a net-zero carbon emitter by 2050, and the government has implemented several initiatives to promote the adoption of renewable energy sources. One of the key initiatives is to increase the deployment of solar energy projects. As of 2021, Singapore had deployed 2.4 gigawatts-peak (GWp) of solar energy projects, with plans to deploy another 2 GWp by 2030. This will bring Singapore's total solar capacity to around 4 GWp, which is equivalent to powering 800,000 households annually.
